High School Versus College Schools are undoubtedly important to one’s education. The most important of those schools are high schools and colleges because they have the most impact on deciding what occupation a student wants to pursue. Although high schools and colleges share similarities in providing education, there are also many differences between each other. In both high schools and colleges there are teachers that educate students on certain subjects. Those subjects can range from mathematics, English, sciences, history and lots more. Highs school and colleges also have tests and exams for students to take so they can demonstrate how much they have learned from the material that was taught to them. Which is why the college campuses are larger than the high school campuses. Colleges are more diverse too. The age group for example has a much larger range. For example, there can be one student who’s around twenty years of age and another student around forty years of age. Overall, college is basically a mini diverse city compared to high school, with social activity playing a factor in the schools’ environment. Speaking of the environment it is arguably the most known difference between high schools and colleges. To start off, high schools have both a start time and end time. If a student were to be late in school, or for any class, faculty would make them go to the office to get a tardy pass. But in colleges there’s no such thing as a beginning time of school or an end time of school. In high school there also security guards that are all over the campus to make sure that the environment is safe. The security guards can be known to always keep close eyes on every student as if they’re up to something. But in college there’s the campus police. They’re just policemen who reside in the colleges doing their jobs. There’s not much else to say because the words â€Å"campus police† are pretty self explanatory. Marcel Duchamp (1887-1968) was a French artist, known for his contributions to the Dada movement and for his influence on other artists that followed him. He was born in Blainville-sur-Crevon, a small town in northern France where his father served as a notary. His mother was artistically inclined and thus Duchamp became interested in sketching and painting when he was a teenager. At the age of seventeen, he moved to Paris to study art at the Acadà ©mie Julian. As a young artist, he was influenced by Cubism and Futurism, the two new art movements that were developing at the time. The Cubist artists reduced objects (or people) to basic shapes and tried to show different sides of images at once. During the period of World War I (1914-1918), Duchamp became associated with a group of Parisian artists known as the Dadaists.
